Types of fishing:
- Trolling involves running the boat at slow speeds while pulling
artificial lures such as umbrella rigs, buck tails, parachutes, spoons or eels.
Rockfish, Bluefish, Trout and Spanish Mackerel are caught between late April and the
end of December.
- Chumming involves tossing ground baitfish behind the boat to lure the
fish to the top. Fishing in the chumline is usually done with light tackle. The
"Shannon IV" provides the best light fishing
tackle for the fisherman who wants to have fun playing their fish or slightly
heavier boat rods for those who just want to crank them in.
- Bottom Fishing is usually done to catch Trout, Spot, Flounder and
Hardhead (Croaker). These fish appear at different times during the year, usually
between April and November.
- Night Fishing Trips are from 6:00 p.m. to midnight with only a 20 - 30
minute travel time each way so you will have plenty of time for fishing. It's not
unusual to catch your limit of Trout (up to 30 inches), Croakers (Hardhead) (up to
22 inches), Rockfish, Bluefish, Flounder and occasionally Red Drum.
* Pleasure and sightseeing cruises are also available.
